Engineering is a challenging program, so if you aren't interested in the material you're going to be really having to kick yourself to keep going. As a mechanical engineer I don't think I would have enjoyed Engineering Physics from what I know of it (more similar to Electrical Engineering than Mechanical, at least at my school). Best of luck!

It provides scientists from Sweden as well as internationally, with state-of-the-art instrumentation for research in areas such as engineering, physics, structural Electrical Engineering. Electromechanical Engineering. Engineering Physics (Master). Engineering Physics. Environmental Technology and Engineering computer science vs engineering salary mechanical engineers = physicists = electrical engineers >> environmental engineers = CS majors. R&D High Voltage Physics & Engineering Expert.
The main responsibility of mechanical engineering is to ensure the proper research, in computer engineering, electrical engineering, and engineering physics.
Many MSc and PhD physics programs will take mechanical or electrical engineers. Also, Engineering might seem more 'applied' but they still have to do lots of core basic physics (mainly mechanics, but obviously that depends on which branch of Engineering you're doing), maths and computing, in addition to all the theoretical aspects specifically relevant to engineering so they probably still have lots of 'theoretical' work to do - the engineers I've spoken to generally have pretty busy … 2010-07-31 Briefly put, a mechanical engineer learns how to apply the fundamental principles of physics to designing and building machines that meet human needs – from elevators to turbines. Nearly every appliance, vehicle, and device that we use required, at some point in its creation, the input of a mechanical engineer.
TMC Physics is looking to extend its team by an R&D engineer that wants to Physics, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a
Instead, engineering science/physics is meant to provide a more thorough grounding in applied physics for a selected specialty such as optics, quantum physics, materials science, applied mechanics, electronics, nanotechnology, microfabrication, microelectronics, computing, photonics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, nuclear You will find Mechanical engineering vs mechanical engineering technology: similarities, differences, job outlook, and educational requirements here! The fundamental difference between Engineering Physics and other Engineering majors is that in Engineering Physics students study the same advanced physics topics as physics majors -- in particular, at least two quarters of quantum mechanics and at least one quarter of statistical mechanics. There seems to be a more sure-fire line of careers after a Mechanical Engineering degree, so I am also considering it. Basically, I'm slightly more interested in Physics than Mechanical Engineering and would probably enjoy the course more, but Mechanical Engineering would seem like a better thing for me to do career-wise. Any advise? Well as people have said in engineering you tackle the applications of physics in the real world.

All graduate students at UC San Diego are responsible for tuition and fees each computational science, engineering physics and mechanical engineering.
Program Requirements: Some engineering schools also recommend EAS 102, ECO 201 and 202.

The Sc.B. degree in engineering and physics is offered jointly by the School of Engineering and the Department of Physics. It enables students to craft a program These electives can be any additional math, physics, or engineering course. Engineering; Materials Science and Engineering; Mechanical Engineering In this preliminary year of study you'll learn the core principles of mathematics, mechanical science, engineering principles and electricity and electronics.
It is known as one of the broadest and oldest of the engineering fields. I have no doubt there are transferable skills and knowledge in physics degrees and that such people could do the job – but consider, as an employer looking for a graduate mechanical engineer – you receive 200 resumes. 179 of them are from people studying mechanical engineering. Electrical engineering vs. mechanical engineering: Which should I choose? To the outside observer, mechanical engineers and electrical engineers may appear as if they’re cut from the same cloth. As detailed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, each position requires a heavy dose of creativity, mathematical and mechanical skills and a discerning ability to identify and solve problems (Bureau of Also, Engineering might seem more 'applied' but they still have to do lots of core basic physics (mainly mechanics, but obviously that depends on which branch of Engineering you're doing), maths and computing, in addition to all the theoretical aspects specifically relevant to engineering so they probably still have lots of 'theoretical' work to do - the engineers I've spoken to generally have Mechanical engineering focuses on moments, forces and force transfer in engineering problems on human, micro and nano scale.
